Introduction

In this report ice conditions in the Odden area of the Greenland Sea is addressed. The report contains a short description of ice developments and oceanographic effects in the area, and an extensive treatment of ERS-1 SAR images. In figure is the Odden area shown together with the east coast of Greenland and the island Jan Mayen.
